GEOSHIPS Achieves ISO 9001 AccreditationGEOSHIPS has achieved the ISO9001 2008 accreditation from Bureau Veritas (BV). This is an important step in the Companies evolution as it enables GEOSHIPS to compete at a different level in the market place in line with our peers, and confirms to our existing clients and potential new clients that we have a robust quality management system in place which is internationally recognised throughout the world and in particular in the oil and gas subsea and IRM sector. Achieving ISO 9001 2008 accreditation is important but maintaining our accreditation is just as important. Therefore having the right objectives, metrics, and measurement processes in place will enable ,the management team and our employees to focus better on what’s important from a quality and continuous improvement perspective and enable GEOSHIPS to offer a superior service delivery to our clients.
The ISO 9001 2008 Quality Management System is set up in a way to ensure the company stays focused on quality issues, and that’s achieved by quality auditing and self-process audits being conducted regularly. ISO 90012008 requires that the company periodically audit its quality processes. Regular process audits and as-needed audits, when done correctly, will provide the objective feedback needed to correct any deviations from the quality path and keep the company focused on achieving its goals. Achieving ISO 9001 2008 accreditation is the first stage in our quest to continually improve GEOSHIPs quality of service delivery, and the next stage in our critical path is to achieve ISO 14001 certification in the near future.
